Alhaurin de la Torre
This town is located just 17 kilometres from Alhaurin de la Torre and has the typical feel of a Costa del Sol town. Alhaurin de la Torre has a very mild climate: very mild winters and warm summers and produces some of the best citrus fruits on the Costa del Sol.
The Church of San Sebastian which was built in 1505 is a particular historical place of interest along with the La Fuente del Rey aqueduct, built in the 18th Century and the arches of Zapata.
The town also has a very traditional cuisine and some of the most popular dishes are: arroz con castañas (rice with chestnuts) and la sopa hervida (which translates into boiled soup). All of these dishes are made with local, fresh products.
