Alora is a small village housing about 8,000 located just 40 kilometres from Malaga city. It has a magnificent natural landscape and a deeply cultural history.
It is known for the castle located at the top of the village and is a must-see when visiting the village. While making your way to the castle, it is recommended to visit the museum located on the way and also the Church, which happens to be the third largest church in all of Andalusia.
Apart from the Castle and Alora’s history, the town has an incredible natural landscape. It is home to the El Chorro gorge where climbers can enjoy the grade one slopes available. There is also a truly scenic and fun lake district where there are walks and hikes available for anybody, no matter what your ability.
