Casares is a classic Spanish village located in the hillsides of the Costa del Sol, near Estepona. The village comes complete with white-washed houses and a dense network of tiny streets dotted with traditional shops, bars and restaurants.
It is a deeply historic village housing a multitude of civilisations over centuries which have each left an imprint on Casares. These include the Moorish homes on the cobbled streets and the Arabic Castle located on top of the hill. There is also the traditional Spanish square with beautiful fountains and orange trees.
If staying in Casares, it is recommended to visit its neighbouring towns: Estepona and Manilva. The best way to reach these is by car.
